Position Purpose:

The Part-Time Assistant Women’s Cub Hockey Coach supports learning by overseeing the student development efforts for the university’s athletic department and assists in the day-to-day operations of the department’s athletic events.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coaching and training student-athletes 
  • Travel coordination and competition logistics 
  • Drive the mini bus when scheduling conflicts arise between programs 
  • Compliance with institutional and athletic governing body rules 
  • Diversify the University's workforce by assessing hiring practices to attract, retain, and develop talented staff and faculty from diverse backgrounds 
  • Hours 
  • Have responsibilities in the fall and spring seasons 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. 
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years coaching

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems.
  • Sound judgment and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Quick learner with great prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be dependable.
  • Ability to accept divergent views while maintaining a constructive working relationship with other team members.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work with a computer for long periods of the day. 
  • Ability to attend off-campus meetings. 
  • Office setting, standing, walking, sitting
Work Hours: Expected to work during the fall and spring seasons beginning November 3. Hours will be determined based on practice and game schedule being finalized. 

Special Requirements:
• A valid driver's license and driving record that meets institutional requirements is required. 
• Requires travel between campus locations or to attend off-site meetings.

The anticipated pay rate for this position is a $3,000 stipend to be paid over the course of the program. This compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the university, based on institutional needs. 

The pay range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted amount the university reasonably expects to pay for this position. The final pay rate will not be below the lowest pay rate listed herein.
