Salary:  Seasonal/Stipend based on CEA Master Agreement

Position Overview

Chaska High School is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Head Boys Hockey Coach to lead our high school hockey program. The ideal candidate will foster skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive student-athlete experience while building a competitive and respected program.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead all team practices and games
• Develop individual and team skills appropriate for the high school level
• Promote academic success, leadership, and character development
• Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate program goals
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administration, and athletic department
• Ensure compliance with school, league, and state athletic association policies
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and program inventory
• Support offseason development and program growth initiatives

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience in hockey (high school preferred)
• Strong knowledge of hockey fundamentals, strategy, and player development
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
• Ability to mentor and positively influence student-athletes
• Must meet all district background and employment requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior head coaching experience
• Experience coordinating youth or developmental hockey programs
