The Facilities Attendant is responsible for the orderly operation of the building; including opening and closing, building supervision, equipment monitoring, building maintenance and special event set-ups. The Facilities Attendant must be comfortable interacting with the public in order to provide an excellent customer experience and will present the facility at its best by providing overall maintenance and light custodial services.

The duties and responsibilities of this job are performed with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with Department and City policies, Federal, State and Local regulations and are based on detailed knowledge of department operations. Work is subject to periodic review by the supervisor, who provides input on approval of recommendations and discusses assignments, priorities and work.

The Hopkins Pavilion is a multi-use, year-round arena and community facility. The Pavilion's arena changes seasonally. During the fall/winter months (September to February) the facility operates as an ice arena. In the spring (March to mid-May), turf is installed. Summer is dry floor season with no ice or turf.
