In Canada, we’ve proudly been recognized as the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada’s ‘Agency of the Year’ for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023. The Hockey (Talent) division in our Toronto chapter is the Canadian extension of Wasserman’s renowned talent representation practice.

Duties:

  • Support Wasserman Hockey’s mission in identifying and recruiting top hockey prospect talent (Ontario).
  • Build out and ensure all client biographical and contact information is up to date and accurate.
  • Assist in organizing agent schedules, game reports, client performances, relevant daily information.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for internal staff, visiting colleagues, and clients.
  • Regularly attend hockey client games with direct reporting staff members.
  • Actively follow and track client and key industry social media channels.
  • Track current and prospective client performance.
  • Prepare materials for presentations to potential and existing key relationships for Wasserman Hockey partners.
  • Support the team with the logistics, preparation, and execution of events for the 2025-2026 season.
  • Research marketplace opportunities for improved resourceful for player development.
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of Wasserman Hockey’s businesses and competitive environment.
  • General administrative and client servicing support as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Currently completing a post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business / Marketing / Sport Management. Candidates must be eligible to receive course credit through completion.
  • Working hours will be 40 hours per week with regular evening and weekend attendance required.
  • Home/in-office role (in-office 2-3 days during weekday)
  • Passion for sports and the business of hockey.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Well-developed communication, time management, and basic administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities.
  • Articulate, excellent communication and diplomacy skills to resolve client matters.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to network and form lasting professional relationships.
  • Prior experience in the sport of hockey is strongly considered.
