Ashland High School is seeking a varsity head coach for girls ice hockey for the 2026-27 season. Ashland’s coaches are actively engaged in the community, and embrace both the mission and values of the Athletic Department and APS School District. 
 
The role of the Head Varsity Girls Ice Hockey Coach is to be responsible for coaching, character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in ice hockey. 
 
This job requires you to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community and well as follow the mission of the school. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements. The head coach of girls ice hockey reports to the Athletic Director.
 
Requirements: 
  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above is preferred. 
  • Good communication and organizational skills 
  • Available to practice after school, weekends and evenings 
  • Establish team goals, team rules, communicate these to all Commitment to program
  • CPR/First Aid Certified Preferred
