Qualifications: Candidate will have played, competed or coached the sport or activity at the high school or college level. Candidates will also complete all Northfield and MSHSL professional development requirements.
Stipend: $7,762 plus Years of Experience Pay if applicable (Stipend is per the 2023-2025 NEA Agreement. Subject to change upon 25-27 NEA Agreement).

Job Summary: To coordinate the selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes at all levels in your sport. Responsibilities:
To demonstrate and generate among your staff players an attitude of good sportsmanship and fair play by adhering to the Coachโs Code of Ethics.
To assist the building principal and activities director in the hiring of a qualified staff in your sport.
To know and administer the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the Coachesโ Handbook, Conference, and policies for your sport and supervise assistant coaches in carrying out the same as they apply to your assignment.
To inform all team members, before the season begins, of team rules and consequences and letter award criteria.
To work effectively and collaboratively with the Activities Department staff, communicating in timely manner and supporting all programs.
To inform team members of District rules, and the importance of exercising self-discipline, sportsmanship, and good citizenship at all times.
To allow only student athletes that have been declared eligible by the Activities Department to participate.
To coordinate the activities and responsibilities of assistant coaches at all levels.
To develop and organize effective practices for athletes that teach skills needed to effectively compete in the Conference and Minnesota State School Program.
To provide for health, safety, and wellbeing of team members.
To use District Accounts, Student Activity Accounts or Booster Clubs for all purchases.
To actively work to create a culture free from hazing.
To be an effective communicator and liaison with parents, public, and media which includes reporting results and updating programโs website.
To adhere to the starting and ending dates for your sport.
To adhere to all MSHSL rules and regulations that pertains to your sport or activity.
