Detroit Lakes Public Schools is seeking a Head Varsity Girls Hockey Coach to lead its hockey program and coach at the varsity level.

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively manage a girls hockey program
• Provide expertise in program and goal development
• Ability to coach varsity hockey
• Previous hockey coaching experience required
• Ability to work with and lead staff of assistant coaches
• Minimum of six quarter credits, or the equivalent, or 60 clock hours of instruction in first aid and/or care and prevention of athletic injuries; and can verify completion of a coaching methods or theory course
• Ability to teach hockey skills and prepare a team
• Ability to establish player discipline
• Ability to communicate effectively with assistant coaches, players, parents, and administration
• Adherence to MSHSL Code of Ethics for Coaches
• Provide positive leadership and present self and hockey program in a professional manner with class at all times

Salary and Benefits: Coaching salaries are dependent upon qualifications and experience and as per the EMDL Master Agreement
