The City of Steamboat Springs is seeking Hockey Scorekeepers to join their team!
GENERAL PURPOSE Performs a variety of tasks to assist with adult and youth hockey programs at the Howelsen Ice Arena facility.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general supervision of the Ice Arena Programs Supervisor.
The qualified individual
Accurately tracks and records scores and other game statistics during youth and adult hockey programming. Assists officials in as needed by providing accurate gametime information. Communicates disciplinary issues with head officials and league coordinators. Creates an interactive environment for players and spectators through music and other media outlets.
PERIPHERAL DUTIES Acts as a liaison for the league programs and can assist in program details and inquiries.
We are seeking the following qualifications
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of game of hockey, equipment, facilities, processes and procedures used in programming. Ability to effectively communicate with players, officials, and Howelsen Ice Arena staff. Ability to multitask during in-game competition. Strong organizational skills maintaining stats and additional information during gameplay.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in the scorebox of the Howelsen Ice Arena. The employee will be in a facility that is cold throughout the year. Weekday evenings and weekend shifts are required.
