Zamboni Driver (part-time)

The Bon Secours Wellness Arena is looking for a dedicated part-time Zamboni Driver to enhance the experience of our ice events. In this role, you will operate the Zamboni to maintain top-quality ice conditions for hockey games, public skating sessions, and various entertainment events.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate the Zamboni machine to resurface the ice before and during activities.
• Inspect and maintain the Zamboni for proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Monitor ice conditions and temperature, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide assistance during event setup and breakdown as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to deliver a seamless and enjoyable experience for patrons.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and policies while on duty.

• High school diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Experience operating a Zamboni or similar machinery is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Basic knowledge of ice maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly; Direct Deposit required.

Hourly Rate: $13-15 per hour depending on experience FLSA status: non-exempt

Work Shift: Vary depending on event schedule; includes evenings and weekends
