Schedule: Part-time, seasonal (evenings, weekends, holidays as required)
Job Description
The Part-Time Seasonal Zamboni Driver is responsible for maintaining high-quality ice conditions and providing excellent customer service at the Downtown Daybreak Winter Village ice skating sheet. This position operates the ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni), assists with general facility upkeep, and supports operations during the busy winter season.
Primary Duties
- Operate the ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni) safely and efficiently to maintain optimal ice quality.
- Monitor and adjust ice thickness, temperature, and water quality as needed.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on the Zamboni and related equipment (fueling, fluid checks, cleaning).
- Assist with event setup and takedown.
- Perform general custodial duties around the arena (sweeping, mopping, garbage removal).
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to rink users and visitors.
- All other tasks as assigned
Experience & Skills
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Previous experience operating a Zamboni or other heavy equipment preferred (training may be provided).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform moderate physical activity.
- Tolerate cold environments for extended periods.
