Position: Assistant Girls Hockey Coach
Location: Albert Lea High School
Start Date: Winter 2025–26 Season
Compensation: $4,153.33 (Schedule C)

Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Hockey Coach to support our program and help develop student-athletes both on and off the ice. We are looking for a team-oriented coach who values skill development, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, games, and team activities.
• Support individual player development, emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, and accountability.
• Help manage equipment, game preparation, and logistics.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and academic success.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff.
• Serve as a positive role model representing Albert Lea Activities and the community.
   

Qualifications:

• Coaching and/or playing experience in hockey required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of hockey strategy, fundamentals, and player safety.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet MSHSL and Albert Lea Area Schools coaching requirements.
