FY 2027: COACH - Ice Hockey 1st Assistant

Minuteman High School is seeking an Assistant Ice Hockey Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The assistant coach will support the head coach leading student-athletes in practices, competitions, and related activities while promoting teamwork, school pride, motivation, and skill development. Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Ice Hockey plays and techniques.
• Coordinate the team's practice schedule and attend all practices and games.
• Prepare the team for games and function as a liaison with other coaches.
• Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting team spirit and unity.
• Mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Work with school administration to ensure compliance with all necessary requirements and regulations, including safety and liability issues.
• Communicate with parents and coordinate team events and fundraising activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience as an Ice Hockey player or coach.
• Strong knowledge of Ice Hockey techniques and plays.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their goals.
• Organizational and management skills, including the ability to schedule and plan practices and events.
• Familiarity with safety guidelines and regulations for Ice Hockey activities.
• Dedication to promoting a positive team spirit and inclusive environment for all team members.

Additional Requirements:

• This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public, walking around the school, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.

Terms of Employment:

• Stipend Position.

Effective Dates of Employment:

• This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027).

• Athletic Director.

Compensation:

• The stipend for this position is $4,616 - $5,575.
