Girls' Ice Hockey Coach

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to volunteer as the Girls' Ice Hockey Coach at Ridge High School. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in young athletes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ice hockey, a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, and a desire to inspire and mentor student-athletes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
- Organize and conduct regular team practices and games, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all players.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth among players.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and updates.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and volunteers to enhance the overall experience for the team.
- Monitor player development and provide constructive feedback to help athletes improve their skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies, league rules, and safety regulations.
- Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and meetings as necessary to stay informed about best practices in coaching and player development.

Requirements
- Previous experience playing or coaching ice hockey is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ice hockey rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for practices and games.
- Must pass a background check and adhere to all school policies regarding volunteer coaching positions.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus, but not required.
