Duties:
Oversee all aspects of the Centennial High School Boys' Hockey program including but not limited to setting up practices, scrimmages, games, and schedules for the program; supervision of athletes at practices and games; care and maintenance of program equipment; arranging team transportation; willingness to work in collaboration with the Centennial Youth Hockey Association and the Centennial Boys Hockey Booster Club, and schedule regular meetings with other coaches in the program to evaluate goals of the overall program. Must be able to adjust work schedule for practices and games.
Preferences:
A BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate highly preferred.
Qualifications:
A strong and effective leader with an extensive background in youth, high school, juniors, and/or collegiate hockey as a player and coach is required. Displayed strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including, but not limited to program organization, player and team development, student-athlete motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work collaboratively with student athletes, parents/guardians, staff, and community to create and sustain a well-respected and competitively balanced program within the conference, section and state.
