Hockey Development Ambassadors consist of energetic, motivated individuals with a positive attitude, that are excited about the growth of hockey in the Tampa Bay Area. Members of the team help support youth hockey initiatives in the community, with the goal of introducing children to the game of hockey, mentoring, and developing hockey players, and creating lifelong Tampa Bay Lightning fans.āÆĀ

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesĀ
Set-up and execute ball hockey clinics within the Tampa Bay Area and surrounding communities. These clinics will be held at schools, communityĀ centersĀ and outdoor ball hockey rinks that have been built by the Lightning Foundation.āÆāÆĀ
Coach Lightning ice hockey programs along with Alumni and full-time staff at local ice rinks. These programs consist of; Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, Rookie League and other clinics.āÆĀ
Help execute youth hockey camps, providingĀ on andĀ off iceĀ support. These camps run during the summer and holiday breaks.āÆāÆĀ
Act as a league representative/scorekeeper at Lightning High School Hockey League (LHSHL) gamesāÆĀ
AssistĀ with scorekeeping, coaching, and otherĀ off iceĀ support for the Lightning Heroes League.āÆĀ
AssistĀ with executing major events such as Hockey Fest, Hockey Day, Girls Hockey weekend and other hockey development events.āÆāÆĀ
AssistĀ withĀ executing ballĀ hockey leagues, birthday parties, and other events at the Lightning Made Training Center.āÆĀ
Lightning representative/referee at outdoor rink ball hockey leagues andĀ schoolāsĀ leagues.āÆĀ
In addition to the programs below,Ā lookingĀ forĀ girlāsĀ hockeyĀ coachāsĀ both on and off the ice. TheseĀ coachāsĀ must be motivated to help support the growth of girlās hockey.āÆĀ
QualificationsĀ
Must be at least 18 years of age.āÆĀ
This position requires successful completion of a Level II Background CheckāÆĀ
Must be able to teach,Ā encourageĀ andĀ effectively manageĀ children ranging from 1stĀ to 12thĀ grade.āÆĀ
Candidates must be high-energy, positive, teamĀ players.āÆĀ
Must be available to work a minimum of two shifts per week.āÆĀ
Working ConditionsĀ
Must be able to stand onĀ feetĀ forĀ long periodsĀ of time, walk longĀ distancesĀ and climb stairs.āÆāÆĀ
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English languageāÆāÆĀ
Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or peopleāÆĀ
Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limitedĀ to:Ā haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc. āÆāÆĀ
Ability to work in loud environmentsāÆāÆĀ
Ability to lift and carry up toĀ 25lbsāÆāÆĀ
Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying weather conditions and during high-traffic event timesāÆāÆĀ
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidaysāÆāÆĀ
Must be able to work in cold/hotĀ indoorĀ and outdoor temperaturesāÆĀ
