Job Description Summary

This position will play an integral role in the daily operations of Goggin Ice Center and facility events including Division I Hockey games.

Job Description

Essential Duties

  • Operate Zamboni Ice Resurfacer.

    Assist with ice arena maintenance and/or cleaning.
    Assist with upkeep and sharpening of skates.
    Assist with event setup and teardown.
    Assist with set-up, staging, and clean up procedures of Division I hockey games.
    Ability to work weekends and evenings as assigned.
    Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Drivers License

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Mechanical skills

  • Supervisory skills.

  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to follow well-defined policies and procedures.

  • Ability to complete Safe Ice Resurfacer Operator Training.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Physical effort usually requires considerable walking and standing with some lifting of materials weighing 25 to 50 pounds
  • Somewhat disagreeable working conditions
  • Some exposure to several unpleasant elements which are particularly disagreeable
