Within the Girls’ College we strive to produce confident young women who are able to lead a life of conviction and purpose. This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be paid a fixed term contract according to their expertise and coaching level. The Girls’ College invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from 1 February 2027. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who possess the skills and competencies required to succeed in the role.
The requirements for this position are:
· Morning and afternoon training sessions as well as fixture days.
· Availability of all training sessions and matches.
· Coaching and management of their respective teams.
· Working with other hockey coaches.
· Individual and holistic development of students as social and high-level athletes.
The ideal candidate should have:
· A minimum of 2 years’ coaching experience.
· SAHA or FIH levels.
· A competitive level (post matric) or coaching experience in a school, university or club environment is preferred.
· A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an added advantage.
· An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach.
Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate (police clearance).
