Island Lake Camp is a coed sleep-away camp located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. We feature a 4-week and a 3-week session for our campers aged 7-17. At Island Lake, we emphasize individualized programming to give each camper their ideal summer experience. Our counselors play a dual role at camp; they live with a specific bunk and age group while teaching their expertise in a designated activity area. Within this area, coaches will spend, on average, 5 hours per day coaching and instructing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging drills and practices for campers of all skill levels
- Coach games/tournaments against other summer camps
- Help campers increase their confidence on and off the court
- Live with a group of campers and co-counselors and help tend to their day-to-day needs
- Be a role model to others in your attitude and behavior.
Job Requirements:
- Available mid-June through mid-August.
- High School or College-level experience in sport
- Youth coaching experience
- Qualified references
- Great with children/childcare experience
- Strong work ethic
Island Lake provides full room and board, including snacks, meals, laundry service, and travel reimbursement for everyone traveling to camp. We offer paid internships and will work directly with your colleges and universities to ensure you get the credits you deserve.
