The Blues Youth Hockey Coach is a part-time staff position that will be responsible for the on-ice execution of multiple St. Louis Blues Youth Hockey programs. The main programs will be the year-round Learn to Play Programs, Little Blues and the Girls Development Program. Additional programs and coaching opportunities include North City Blues, Try Hockey for Free, and more.
As a Blues Youth Hockey Coach, you will be responsible for the following:Β
Teaching children the fundamentals of the game
Set up and clean-up of practices
Supporting the Lead on Ice Instructor in whatever ways he/she sees fit
Reporting to and maintaining consistent communication with the St. Louis Blues Youth and Community Hockey Coordinators
Providing consistent availability to coach the program(s) that work best for your schedule
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have knowledge of the game of hockey
Must be able to teach, encourage, and control children ranging from 4 to 17 years old
Candidates must be high-energy, positive, team players
Must have USA Level 1 Coaching or able to attain it before the start of on ice sessionsΒ
Must pass a background check and have valid identification
All Blues Youth Hockey Coaches are required to lift (25) pounds and perform some manual labor
Must have daytime and weekend availability
Compensation: β’ $30/hour
