The Adult Hockey & Fitness Center Supervisor is responsible for managing adult hockey programs and overseeing the daily operations of the Nelson Sports Complex Fitness Center. This position coordinates program operations and scheduling to ensure successful adult hockey programming and fitness center services. This is an at-will position.
Qualifications
A bachelorโs degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field is required, along with three (3) to five (5) years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience and knowledge of adult hockey programming is required. Candidates must possess a valid driverโs license. Previous experience with ice making and ice maintenance is strongly preferred.
Essential Functions
Aid the Superintendent in directing programs that satisfy the needs of the community.
Responsible for the development, organization, implementation, and instruction of adult hockey programs, including adult open hockey, RMAHL skills, and Stick/Puck.
Must be available for the beginning 3 weeks of each season and finals week.
Correspond with Team Managers regarding league rules, schedules, and payments.ย
Conduct seasonal team manager meetings.ย
Establish and carry out operational procedures regarding operations and staff.ย
Schedule RMPD scorekeepers and referees.
Update RMAHL website, including posting team standings throughout the season.ย
Manage rules and ethics of the league, complaints, and suspensions.
Plan Championship weekend.ย
Aid the Superintendent of Ice Arenas in planning and budgeting for arena programs.
Aid the Superintendent of Ice Arenas in the implementation of all ice arena programs.
Manage Nelson Sports Complex Fitness Center
Hire, train, and schedule fitness center staff
Manage fitness center hours, including holidays and seasonal time changes.
Track membership, usage times, budget for fitness center.
Track equipment conditions, repairs needed, replacement equipment as needed
Maintain Skate Rental Room at Nelson Sports Complex
Keep rental skate racks and rental helmets in an organized manner.
Assist in maintenance of rental skates including new orders, laces, and foot bed, sanitizing and sharpening.
Maintain and enforce policies for assigned fitness and rink employees.
Review fitness staff annually.

SCHEDULE & PAY: This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is being hired at a starting salary of $47,629. The full hiring range is $47,629- $71,443. This position is open until filled.ย
